2025 Update
Click here to introduce our bot to your server.
If you have been using Spark since 2023, here are some of the updates that you should be aware:
You can now have many Sparks on many channels.
You can deploy many versions of Sparks (with different custom prompts and style instructions), each doing a slightly different thing on your server
You can have Spark on any number of channels. For example, you can have one channel where Spark automatically answers members' questions instantly. Then you can have five other channels where Spark only responds to unanswered questions.
Spark now has much better search.
We've significantly upgraded our search functions, enabling our bot to find more accurate and detailed answers. This is achieved by breaking down your knowledge into smaller, more manageable pieces.
While we still recommend that you give us high-quality content in paragraphs so that it is easy for our AI to read, this is no longer a requirement.
Spark has moved from OpenAI to Gemini: Better conversation
Over the past year, we've noticed that Gemini significantly outperforms OpenAI when it comes to expressions and following style instructions.
Longer context window
Spark is now able to hold a longer context window as a result of moving to Gemini and other memory optimizations.
Discord knowledge discovery automatically
Spark can automatically sync your Discord chat messages with your Spark knowledge. You can manage all your Discord knowledge bits automatically via our dashboard. You can find details here.
Moderation
Spark is designed to answer most users' questions, even if they're not related to your server. Spark is also optimized to speak in the style you have set up.
However, we are doing quite a bit in terms of moderation. By default, our Spark will NOT talk about sexual content unless the server is designated as NSFW. While Spark can be configured to swear, once we detect suicidal intent in your member, Spark will ask the members to seek human help rather than continue to engage in the conversations.
If your members are mostly kids under 16 and this is a safe space for the vulnerable, you can enable "Just for Kids" in any agents that you've set up. When you toggle on just for kids, here are additional aspects that Spark will moderate:
Harassment
Hate
Illicit
Violence
Self-harm
Spark aims for 100% of its content to be safe for kids by running all Gemini Model output via a second round of checking. This means that our response speed will be slightly slower than usual. In addition, you might notice there could be some compromise on "style" if there is a potential conflict.
